Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Troop 610! Joining takes three simple steps. Most families finish in under 30 minutes.

Total to join: $241 ($91 SHAC registration fee + $150 troop fee)

Step 1: Submit the Application and Pay the SHAC Fee

Go to our troop’s application page and complete the application for your Scout. The $91 SHAC fee is the official annual Scouting America membership fee, paid to the Sam Houston Area Council. It is paid as part of the application.

Step 2: Pay the Troop Fee

Pay the $150 troop fee on our website using the Pay Fees page. This fee funds our yearly program, including campouts, gear, and advancement.

Step 3: Create Your Profile on my.scouting.org

Create a parent profile at my.scouting.org. Once your Scout’s application is approved, you can add him to your profile.

What Happens Next

You’ll receive a confirmation once your application is approved. Approval can take a few days.
A troop leader will contact you with the next meeting details.
Your Scout is welcome to attend meetings while the paperwork is processed.

Before Your First Campout

Complete and return the Annual Health and Medical Record (we’ll provide the forms).
Parents who’d like to volunteer or attend outings should complete Youth Protection Training at my.scouting.org. It’s free, and we’re happy to walk you through it.
